The graphic tee, has been everywhere in the fashion world this summer. After watching a recent video on Youtube by The Fashion Citizen, I was inspired to create my own DIY graphic T-shirt.
My last couple of DIYs have been very popular and I have been requested to continue making similar tutorial posts, so I thought I would share this simple DIY.
1 - You will need: a tshirt of your choice, scissors, a computer, a printer (although not in the image), and transfer paper. (I purchased my transfer paper from Amazon, although most craft shops also will supply it.
2 - Find the image you wish to use on your T-shirt (I chose a daisy), and print it out a number of times until you are happy with the size of the image in relation to the size of your top. I suggest printing the image out at this stage in draft mode in order to save ink.
3 - Follow the instructions on the back of your transfer paper (i.e: mirror the image/ do not mirror the image, type of printer setting etc...) Using the scissors cut out the image and place onto the T-shirt.
4 - Iron the image onto the T-shirt giving each area of the image at least 30 seconds of heat.
And here is the finished result - in my opinion is just as professional looking as the tops available in the shops. Be sure to send me a picture on Instagram @rachelsfashionpatch if you give this DIY a go!
I also drew, and printed this image of a pineapple onto a crop top for a gift for my best friend's birthday which is today. Happy birthday to my beautiful best friend Frances!
